City of Virginia Beach Holiday Schedule: Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11

​In observance of Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, the following Virginia Beach facilities will be closed:

• All Virginia Beach government administrative offices
• All Virginia Beach City Public Schools and administration offices
• All Virginia Beach public libraries, except the TCC/City Joint-Use Library
• Commonwealth Attorney's Office
• The Bruce W. Edwards VBEMS Headquarters and Training Center
• Thoroughgood House and Princess Anne County Training School/Union Kempsville High School Museum (Francis Land House and Lynnhaven House remain closed for restoration until further notice)
• Virginia Beach Circuit Court, General District Court, Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts and Clerk's Offices
• Virginia Beach Convention Center administrative offices
• Virginia Beach Department of Public Health
• Visitor Information Center – Chesapeake Bay Center at First Landing State Park
• Visitor Information Center – 2100 Parks Ave.
• Voter Registrar's Office
• Waste Management administrative offices, the Landfill and Resource Recovery Center and the West Neck Recycling Center

The following facilities are OPEN to the public, Friday, Nov. 11, during the following hours:

• All Virginia Beach city parks and park facilities will be open during regularly scheduled hours (sunrise-sunset)
• All Virginia Beach community recreation centers – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (All active and retired military members and dependents can access rec centers for free on Veterans Day. Details at www.VBgov.com/veteransday)
• Sandler Center for the Performing Arts administrative offices – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sandler Center for the Performing Arts box office – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• TCC/City Joint-Use Library – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Note that tickets must be purchased in advance and are available from tickets.virginiaaquarium.com.)
• Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Virginia Beach Farmers Market will be open. Please visit www.VBgov.com/farmersmarket for individual merchant's store hours. (The Farmers Market Management Office will be closed on Nov. 11.)

WASTE COLLECTION: There will be normal trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulky items services on Friday, Nov. 11.
