Three City Council Members Hosting Community Meetings Next Week

Councilmembers Barbara Henley, Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond and Joash Schulman will host community meetings next week to update residents on current City projects and issues.

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Councilmember Dr. Ross-Hammond and Councilmember Schulman will host a joint District 4 and District 9 community meeting to update residents on current City projects and issues. Topics of discussion include homelessness, recycling, and neighborhood preservation and zoning enforcement. The meeting will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. at Renaissance Academy in the schola.

Councilmember Henley will host her monthly District 2 community meeting from 5:15-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30, in Building 19 at the Municipal Center. Representatives from Dominion Energy will be presenting and attendees will have an opportunity to have their questions addressed. Normally held the fourth Thursday of each month, this meeting was rescheduled due to the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no meeting in December 2023.
