Shooting Investigation- 1700 block of Potters Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On Dec. 7, 2022, at approximately 1:04 a.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a call for a female who had been shot, in the 1700 block of Potters Road. Upon arrival, VBPD located the female victim, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her lower extremity. Officers rendered aid to the female until EMS arrived and transported her to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect involved in this incident was identified as William Green Jr., (M/46) of Norfolk. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Discharging a Firearm in Public, and Brandishing.
