City of Virginia Beach to Host SITW Informational Meeting April 6
Learn about Oceanfront access, transportation and public safety plans.
Something in the Water (April 28-30) kicks off a festival-packed season at the Oceanfront in 2023. City departments and SITW organizers have been finalizing traffic, access and safety plans to ensure this year's festival runs smoothly. An informational meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in the Virginia Beach Convention Center Ballroom. The public is encouraged to attend, especially neighborhood associations and residents living in or near the Oceanfront. Attendees will have an opportunity to have their questions addressed. Questions will be limited to two minutes.
The topics to be discussed include:
- Transportation plans
- Overview of festival activities
- Parking
- Safety
- Access for Oceanfront residents, neighborhoods
City organizers are also meeting with Oceanfront business stakeholders (Virginia Beach Hotel Association, Virginia Beach Restaurant Association, Atlantic Avenue Association) that same day at 9-10:30 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
