64th VB911 Academy Graduates

After an extensive 11-week classroom academy, 10 recruits graduated from the 64th VB911 Academy Graduation on April 9. They will begin on-the-job training to include police radio positions and call taking before being advanced to the next stage in their career progression with Emergency Communications and Citizen Services. This process takes approximately 12-18 months.

The City’s dedicated telecommunicators link residents with the help they need whether that involves dispatching first responders to an accident or helping to connect citizens with services. They’re an integral part of what makes our community a great place to live.
