Registration Open for Senior Showcase

Virginia Beach’s older residents can enjoy a free event designed just for them. At the Senior Showcase, seniors can get advice and tips on independent living; visit with vendors, service providers and friends; and enjoy live entertainment and food. This free event is 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, May 28, at the Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1440 Nimmo Parkway in Virginia Beach. 

Presented by the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Commission on Aging (MCOA), the theme for this year’s event is “Blooming with Engagement in VB” and features resources in the community that put an emphasis on the senior population. Doors open at 9 a.m., and a boxed lunch will be served at 11 a.m. 

City resources, not-for-profit organizations, residential facilities, medical professionals, elder-law attorneys, downsizing companies and other businesses are needed to participate as sponsors of the event.
