Each year, one organization and one individual are recognized for providing exceptional service to senior citizens in Virginia Beach. Anyone can submit nominations now for these awards. The Mayor’s Commission on Aging selects the winners and presents the awards during the Senior Showcase, which will be May 28. The deadline for nominations has been extended this year to May 16.

Nominations can be submitted online for individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to promote change or provide new services for senior citizens of Virginia Beach, benefitting a large segment of the senior community, within the past year. Nomination forms are also available through the Office of the Mayor.
