Virginia Beach Fire Department to Host Recruiting Open House, Friday, Feb. 2 for Individuals Interested in Applying for the Next Recruit Academy

The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) will host an Open House for individuals interested in pursuing a career with the VBFD on Friday, Feb. 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Harry E. Diezel Fire Training Center, 927 S. Birdneck Road. The Open House is being held in conjunction with the current recruitment campaign that ends Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2024.

Guests will have the chance to see and tour the training center, checkout the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) course, trucks, and equipment. Firefighters and wellness staff will be on hand to answer questions or help you apply!
