VBPD Arrests One in 2022 Fatal Shooting on Friendship Square
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, June 10, 2024 – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has arrested and charged Taveyoine Nishaun Davis (M/20) of Norfolk with First Degree Murder, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, and Gang Participation in connection with a fatal shooting in 2022.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Friendship Sq. on Oct. 30, 2022, for a report of a gunshot wound victim. Once on scene officers found a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 2, 2022.
After a prolonged investigation by the VBPD Detective Bureau, Davis was arrested on June 7, 2024.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – November 3, 2022 – On October 30, 2022, at approximately 9:09 PM, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the report of an individual with a gunshot wound in the 1200 block of Carver Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound(s); the victim was transported to a local hospital. On November 2, 2022, the victim was removed from life support and pronounced deceased.
