Two Roadway Improvement Projects Begin June 5
South Military Highway and North Landing Road to undergo paving
Two roadway paving projects may disrupt evening and overnight travel in parts of Virginia Beach starting June 5.
All work on these projects is weather permitting:
- Northbound South Military Highway from Alexandria Lane to Jonathan’s Cove Drive – 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through June 16
- North Landing Road from Winston Avenue to Guardhouse Way – 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. through June 21
Milling and paving operations are likely to produce traffic delays, congestion and some construction noise. Advanced warning signs will be clearly posted advising motorists of lane closures. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes when possible.
