Update: VBPD Investigating Fatal Crash on Ferrell Parkway
On Aug. 19, 2024, the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney approved an additional charge of DUI Manslaughter against Ms. Harris.

On Aug. 16, 2024, at 9:02 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the 5000 block of Ferrell Pkwy. for an accident involving a motorcycle.
Upon arriving on scene, officers found two vehicles involved. The driver of the motorcycle, Randall Gollihur (M/53), was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Brittany Harris (F/35), was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (First Offense) and DUI Refusal. The incident is still under investigation and additional charges are anticipated.
