Individual Sentenced to Seven Years in Narcotics & Firearms Trafficking Case
On March 20, 2026, Dyron E. Holloway was sentenced to seven years in federal prison following a joint investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Dyron Holloway, (M/36) of Norfolk, was convicted of distribution of cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Between January and February 2025, Holloway conducted multiple cocaine transactions in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, including one in which he sold over 27 grams of cocaine along with a handgun. Investigators also learned he was attempting to sell an AR-style rifle and was planning a robbery with other individuals.
Search warrants led to the recovery of cocaine, marijuana, a digital scale, a firearm, a firearm scope, and a loaded magazine. Holloway, a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
“I would like to thank our partners at the ATF for their assistance in removing this individual from the streets of Virginia Beach”, said Police Chief Paul Neudigate. “Convicted felons illegally possessing firearms present a clear danger to our community, thus one of our top priorities is focusing on these individuals and building prosecutable cases that result in significant jail time.”
