Councilmembers Henley and Remick Hosting Meetings Aug. 21 and 22

Councilmember Remick will hold a community meeting for District 6. Councilmember Henley will host her monthly District 2 meeting.

Councilmembers Barbara Henley and Worth Remick invite the public to attend their upcoming community events.

Councilmember Remick will host a District 6 community meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Residents will get an update on topics including schools, public safety, the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Atlantic Avenue pedestrian upgrades, including the new HAWK signal at 40th Street and Atlantic Avenue. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. The meeting will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. in the auditorium at First Colonial High School. Doors open at 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, Councilmember Henley will host her monthly District 2 community meeting from 5:15-7 p.m. in Building 19 at the Municipal Center. Held the fourth Thursday of each month, the meetings provide an opportunity for residents to hear updates on current City projects and issues pertinent to them. Attendees will have the opportunity to build relationships with other members of the community, engage and participate in the conversation and have their questions addressed.

All meetings are free and open to the public.
