City Council Members Hosting Community Events in February
Vice Mayor Wilson and Councilmembers Henley and Remick will host meetings for their districts.
Vice Mayor Rosemary Wilson and Councilmembers Barbara Henley and Worth Remick invite the public to attend their upcoming district community events.
Councilmember Remick will host a District 6 community meeting on Feb. 11 where residents will get an update on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan and Virginia Beach Public Schools Workforce Development. The meeting is 6:30-8 p.m. in the auditorium at Virginia Beach Middle School. Doors open at 6 p.m.
On Monday, Feb. 23, Vice Mayor Wilson will host a District 5 community meeting to discuss a "Resort for the Citizens 2026." Residents will hear from Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau Director Nancy Helman on upcoming events at the Oceanfront and Parking Administrator John Crawford will discuss the new parking program in the Resort Area. The meeting will be 6-7:30 p.m. at the Virginia Aquarium South Building.
Councilmember Henley will host her monthly District 2 community meeting from 5:15-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, in Building 19 at the Municipal Center to update residents on current City projects and issues. Residents will have an opportunity to meet and build relationships with other members of the district, engage and participate in the conversation and have their questions addressed.
All events are free and open to the public.
