New to Virginia Beach? Feel at Home at Special Welcome Event

Moving to a new city can be exciting — and overwhelming. That’s why Virginia Beach Public Library is hosting a special “Welcome to Virginia Beach” event designed to help residents feel at home, make connections and learn about the many services available in our community. 

The Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library will become a one-stop hub for questions, resources and friendly introductions 1:30-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.

Whether you want to know about parks and trails, volunteer opportunities, voter registration, support services, arts and culture, or environmental programs, this event brings together experts from across the city and community. 

You’ll be able to speak directly with representatives from:

Plus, the first 100 attendees will receive a special gift from Virginia Beach Public Library. Enjoy games, prizes and activities for the kids, including an opportunity to explore Station 7's firetruck.
