Free Water Awareness Calendars Available for the New Year

The 2025 Water Awareness Calendars are in! Published annually by Virginia Beach Public Utilities, the calendars feature illustrations by Virginia Beach elementary school students showing what they do to use water wisely. The calendar includes the important information on backflow prevention; proper fat, oil, and grease disposal; water conservation; and what not to flush. 

The calendar illustrations were chosen in a contest held earlier this year. Entries were judged by Public Utilities staff based upon best expression of theme, picture design, creativity and artistic skill. 

The colorful calendars are free and available to the public at all Virginia Beach Public Library branches, recreation centers, and the Public Utilities business office located at 2809 S. Lynnhaven Drive, Suite 250. 

2026 Calendar Contest 

Do you know a Virginia Beach artist in kindergarten through fifth grade? Encourage them to enter in the 2026 Water Awareness Calendar Contest! Entries are due March 7, 2025. Visit VirginiaBeach.gov/CalendarContest for the contest rules and entry form.
