From storytimes for the youngest to support for the oldest, the City’s offerings give kids, teens, adults, seniors and caregivers countless ways to stay active, informed, supported and involved, as well as opportunities to provide feedback to the City.  

Use the following definitions to filter categories below to discover your “something” to enrich your daily life and help build a more connected, vibrant community.

Type of Offering

  • Assistance: Help or support to meet residents’ needs, such as financial assistance, application assistance or counseling.
  • Programs: Scheduled activity residents can attend, such as a class, workshop or lecture.
  • Resources: Products, tools or information residents can access or use themselves, such as resource guides, apps, or directories.
  • Special events: Usually a singular occasion (or a series) for a specific purpose, such as a celebration, performance or conference.

Who it's For

  • Adults: Virginia Beach residents ages 18-49
  • Caregivers: Virginia Beach residents who care for their aging parents or children
  • Children: Virginia Beach residents ages 0-12
  • Seniors: Virginia Beach residents ages 50 and older
  • Teens: Virginia Beach residents ages 12-17
