In observance of the Independence Day holiday, some City facilities will have varying closure schedules on July 3 and 4. All City administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3. Due to forecasted temperatures, the City of Virginia Beach will open two Virginia Beach Public Library branches as cooling centers from noon to 5 p.m., July 3-5. The Housing Resource Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m., July 3-5, as a cooling center for individuals experiencing homelessness in Virginia Beach.
