Voter Registrar’s Office Relocating to Business Park Near Mount Trashmore Park

The Virginia Beach Office of Voter Registration & Elections is relocating to a purpose-designed office space at 500 Studio Drive, located just off Independence Boulevard.

To accommodate the move of staff and equipment, the office will close to the public at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and remain closed on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 19 and 20. The office will reopen to the public in its new space on Monday, Feb. 23.

“This facility will allow us to better serve voters, especially during election season, by improving access for those who vote curbside, early in-person or by mail,” said Virginia Beach Director of Elections Christine Lewis. “In addition, we will be able to securely consolidate our voting hardware and ballots, ensuring that our elections remain safe and secure.”

Phone numbers and email addresses for the office will remain the same. Parking for visitors is available in the parking lot on the side of the building at 500 Studio Drive.

After the move, the Registrar’s Office will not maintain a presence at the former location. All election-related activities and services that were served at the former office will be provided at 500 Studio Drive, including early voting, voter registrations and candidate registration.
