Virginia Beach Police Seek Additional Victims in Indecent Exposure Investigation
On September 9, 2026, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) was notified of a male exposing himself at the Kempsville Library. The individual left before officers arrived, and an investigation was initiated.
On September 11, 2026, the same individual was involved in another incident of inappropriate behavior at the Central Library. Following that incident, the male was identified as Kenyatta Christian and was banned from all Virginia Beach Public Library locations for a specified period.
On October 6, 2026, Christian returned to the Kempsville Library, where he again exposed himself before fleeing the scene. Officers canvassed the surrounding area, and members of the VBPD Fugitive Apprehension Squad subsequently located and arrested Christian at a nearby restaurant.
Christian has been charged with four counts of felony indecent exposure, four counts of obscene sexual display, and trespassing.
The investigation indicates that Christian may have targeted older women. Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet reported similar incidents to police. Anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or experienced similar behavior is encouraged to submit information using the link provided below or contact the Virginia Beach Police Department Fourth Precinct at 757‑385‑2800, and Crime Solvers at 1(888)-LOCK-U-UP or P3Tips.com.
