Virginia Beach Fire Department to Host Recruiting Open House Saturday, April 26, for Individuals Interested in Applying for the Next Recruit Academy - Applications taken through April 30, 2025

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (April 22, 2025) – The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) will host an Open House for individuals interested in pursuing a career with the VBFD on Saturday, April 26, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Harry E. Diezel Fire Training Center, 927 S. Birdneck Road. The Open House is being held in conjunction with the current recruitment campaign that ends Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (EST).  

Guests will have the chance to meet our instructors, tour our training facilities, and learn about the professional development opportunities with VBFD.
