Virginia Beach Fire Department Launches New Podcast “First In”

Episodes of “First In” will be available monthly starting on March 10th on Spotify.

The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) is proud to announce the launch of its new podcast, “First In,” hosted by Captain Andrew Conlon. The podcast offers listeners an inside look into the world of the fire service, highlighting the people, experiences, and lessons that shape emergency response in the Virginia Beach community.

“First In” will feature conversations with firefighters, officers, public safety leaders, and subject matter experts from across the fire service and emergency response community. Episodes will explore topics including emergency operations, leadership, firefighter health and wellness, training, community risk reduction, and the evolving challenges facing today’s fire service.

The podcast aims to provide both an informative and engaging platform for firefighters, public safety professionals, and community members interested in learning more about how the Virginia Beach Fire Department prepares and responds to emergencies. Captain Andrew Conlon, who hosts the podcast, brings years of operational experience in the fire service and a passion for sharing the stories and insights that shape the profession.
