VBPD Seeks Community Assistance / Announces Digital Evidence Portal for Peele Court Shooting
On February 13, 2024, at 6:15 p.m., a ShotSpotter Alert and several 9-1-1 calls were received for shots fired in the 3200 block of Peele Court. Officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded and located an 8-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. VBPD detectives and forensic investigators continue to work to identify the individuals involved in this tragic crime.
To assist our efforts, we encourage anyone who saw anything or who thinks they might have information about the events of February 13, 2024, to reach out to either the VBPD Detective Bureau at 757-385-4101 or anonymously through Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP/P3tips.com.
Additionally, we have created an anonymous digital evidence portal where people can upload photos and videos pertaining to this case at the VBPD Evidence Submission Portal.
This senseless act of violence has greatly impacted our community and we ask for their assistance in helping us secure justice for the family. No amount of information is insignificant, and we encourage all with any knowledge of this crime to contact us.
