VBPD Recovers Stolen Firearm, Arrests Four on 24th Street
On Dec. 10, 2024, at approximately 3:36 a.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the 900 block of 24th Street for a report of individuals possibly breaking into cars. Â
Upon arrival, officers identified a suspect vehicle and stopped it nearby where they recovered illegal drugs, a stolen credit card, and three firearms, including one which had already been reported stolen. Â
The following individuals have been arrested, and each has been charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Schedule I or II Substance, Possession of a Firearm While Possessing a Schedule I or II Substance, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Grand Larceny of a Credit Card, and Destruction of Property:Â
- Jawan Burnell (M/24) of ChesapeakeÂ
- Khalik Perry (M/25) of ChesapeakeÂ
- Jermaine Vaughan (M/26) of Virginia BeachÂ
- Amard White (M/22) of ChesapeakeÂ
(Note: The charges mentioned in this press release are accusations, and the arrested individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.)  Â
