VBPD Makes Arrest in Shooting on Schoolhouse Road
On November 2, 2025, at approximately 6:18 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a report of a person shot in the 5700 block of Schoolhouse Road.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation determined the shooting was accidental. A 16-year-old male suspect was identified, arrested, and charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm in a Building, and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.
