VBPD Makes Arrest on Pinecone Circle Homicide
On December 20, 2025, at approximately 7:01 a.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a report for a person suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1300 block of Pinecone Circle.
Upon arrival, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, where the victim was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Brinte Lamont Walston (M/35) of Norfolk.
Detectives with the VBPD’s Homicide Unit conducted the investigation, which led to the identification of Travis Cornelious Hunter (M/45) of Virginia Beach as the suspect. Hunter was taken into custody and has been charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
