VBPD Makes Arrest in Malicious Wounding on Village Drive
On October 24, 2025, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services received a call for a gunshot wound in the 400 block of Village Drive. Responding officers located a victim (M/27) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and in stable condition.
The suspect was identified as Malik Brown (M/22) of Virginia Beach. Brown was located and taken into custody for charges of aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm.
