VBPD Makes Arrest in Homicide on Oleander Circle
On May 10, 2025, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a 911 call from a resident in the 600 block of Oleander Cir. who found bullet holes in their property.Â
Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers arrived on scene and observed a deceased adult female outside on the neighboring property. The female was later identified as Christine Donahue (F/54) of Virginia Beach.Â
While on scene, officers identified Brian Burton (M/54) of Virginia Beach as the suspect. Burton was taken into custody and charged with Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.Â
