VBPD Makes Arrest for Malicious Wounding on Norham Place

On July 28, 2026, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services received a call for a gunshot wound in the 5700 block of Norham Place. Responding officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On August 31, 2026, Chesapeake Police arrested the suspect, Lamontae King (M/20) of Virginia Beach, during an unrelated traffic stop. King was charged with armed robbery, conspiracy, use of a firearm, and aggravated malicious wounding.

King is currently being held at Virginia Beach City Jail without bond. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
