VBPD Makes an Arrest for Reckless Handling of a Firearm on Holland Road

On June 24, 2026, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a call for a person who had been shot in the 3000 block of Holland Road. Upon arrival officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. The female was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and in stable condition.

Detectives assigned to the VBPD’s Homicide Squad lead the investigation and identified Seth Long (M/18) of Virginia Beach as the suspect. Long was taken into custody and charged with reckless handling of a firearm with injury.
