VBPD Investigating Fatal Crash on Cypress Ave

On Oct. 31, 2025, at approximately 6:01 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1000 block of Cypress Road. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that David German, (M/47) of Virginia Beach, was traveling northbound on an e-vehicle (dirt bike) when he exited the roadway and struck a light pole.  German was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
