VBPD Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Bicyclist on Holland Road

On Sept. 11, 2024 at approximately 10:25 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the intersection of Holland Rd. and Lynnhaven Pkwy. for a report of an accident involving a bicyclist.

Officers arrived on scene and found that a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle. The bicyclist, Freddie Morales (M/43) of Virginia Beach, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and suffered minor injuries. No charges have been filed at this time.
