VBPD Investigating Fatal Accident Involving Bicyclist on General Booth Blvd.

Officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the 900 block of General Booth Blvd. at 11:12 p.m. on July 27, 2024 for a report of an accident involving a bicycle.

Officers arrived on scene and located one vehicle and one bicyclist, Christopher Malik (M/34) of Pennsylvania. First responders rendered immediate aid to Malik, however, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators. No charges have been filed at this time.
