VBPD Arrests Two Suspects Following Attempted Robbery on Runaway Bay Drive
On October 5, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a report of an armed robbery in the 100 block of Runaway Bay Drive.
Upon arrival, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers found an adult male victim uninjured. An investigation revealed two suspects allegedly threatened and attempted to rob the victim at gunpoint. Both were apprehended by the Fugitive Apprehension Squad on October 7, 2026.
Alonna Wiggins (F/18) of Virginia Beach is charged with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Kevonne Church (M/19) of Chesapeake is charged with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Church is currently being held at Virginia Beach City Jail without bond. Wiggins was released on a $3,000 secured bond.
