VBPD Arrests One on Child Sex Abuse Charges

On Oct. 30, 2024, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) arrested Karl Adebahr (M/38) of Virginia Beach and charged him with Attempted Carnal Knowledge of a Minor, Attempted Production of Child Pornography, and two counts of Use of Communications Systems to Facilitate Offenses Involving Children.

Adebahr is suspected of using social media platforms with usernames similar to “JackJ38” to initiate conversations with minors.
