VBPD Arrests One in Shooting on Grant Avenue

On March 21, 2025 at 2:07 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the 700 block of Grant Ave. for a shooting.

Upon arriving on scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid, and the victim was transported to a local hospital.

Detectives identified Tysia Suttler (F/18) of Virginia Beach as the suspect. Within hours, Suttler was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Shooting in Commission of a Felony, Discharge of a Firearm in Public, and Reckless Handling of a Firearm Resulting in Injury.
