VBPD Arrests Man in Connection to 32 Larceny Cases
After a lengthy investigation, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has arrested Jerome London El (M/46) of Virginia Beach in connection to a string of retail larcenies, spanning from May 25, 2024, to Sept. 11, 2024.
VBPD detectives were able to identify London El and connect him to each of the larcenies. London El was arrested on Sept. 12, 2024, by officers who utilized Flock License Plate Reader technology to locate him.
London El was transported to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center on 13 warrants from Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk. He is accused of stealing over $25,000 in merchandise in Virginia Beach alone. In total, 32 cases were cleared by his arrest.
London El is charged with six Felony counts of Stolen Property with Intent to Sell, six Felony counts of Grand Larceny, one Felony count of Possession of a Schedule I or II Substance, two Misdemeanor counts of Petit Larceny and one Misdemeanor count of Simple Assault.
