VBPD Arrests Man for Distribution and Possession of Child Pornography
On July 2, 2026, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) made an arrest in a proactive investigation involving the online exploitation of children.
Detectives from the VBPD’s Special Investigations Bureau (SIB) took the lead and identified Christopher Parker (M/38) of Virginia Beach as the suspect. Following the execution of a search warrant, detectives discovered numerous digital files containing child sexual abuse material on Parker’s electronic devices.
VBPD took Parker into custody and charged him with ten counts of distribution of child pornography. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is working in coordination with VBPD. The Virginia Beach Police Department is a member of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which collaborates to identify and hold suspected offenders accountable for the online exploitation of children.
