Suspect Arrested in Connection to Disappearance of Martrell Andre Lamar

On Nov. 19, 2024, after weeks of investigation, following a tip regarding the disappearance of Martrell Andre Lamar (M/42) of Knotts Island, NC, detectives from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) arrested Ashley Walton (F/35) of Knotts Island, NC.

Walton was charged with Concealment of a Dead Body and Accessory After the Fact to Homicide.

Lamar was reported missing from Knotts Island, NC on July 2, 2024. To date, Lamar has not been located and his disappearance is now being treated as a homicide investigation.
