ShotSpotter Leads to an Arrest on Bennington Road

On April 20, 2025, at 12:04 A.M., Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers responded for a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire in the 6300 block of Bennington Road.  Arriving officers canvassed the location and encountered Robert Mack, M/55, of Jersey City, NJ.  

Further investigation revealed that Mack had discharged a 9mm handgun.  Mack was arrested and charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm Within the City Limits.
