Public Utilities, Planning and Housing Offices Closed Early Due to Power Outage
The Virginia Beach Department of Public Utilities and Department of Planning and Community Development offices located at 2403 Courthouse Drive closed at 10 a.m. today, July 28, due to a power outage. The Department of Housing and Neighborhood Preservation Offices located at 2424 Courthouse Drive are also closed due to the same power outage. All offices are expected to reopen at 8 a.m. on July 29.
For water or sewer emergencies during this closure, please call 311. Routine requests and other inquiries may be submitted online at VirginiaBeach.gov/PUOnlineServices and will be addressed once the office reopens. Customers requiring assistance through our Customer Contact Center may reach out to Public Utilities when the office reopens tomorrow.
Department of Planning and Community Development customers can submit permit applications through Accela Citizen Access and can contact staff via email. Divisional contact information is available at Planning.VirginiaBeach.gov.
Current Rental Housing and Housing Development clients should contact their housing specialist directly if assistance is needed.
To register a code complaint, residents can call Code Enforcement at 757-385-4421. For more information, visit VirginiaBeach.gov/Housing.
