North Landing Road Lane Closures Begin Sept. 17 for Pipeline Maintenance

Sunoco LP will begin maintenance work on its Virginia Beach pipeline Wednesday, Sept. 17. The work will require a portion of North Landing Road to be closed for approximately three weeks: 

• Dates/Times: Sept. 17 through early October, 24 hours a day 
• Location: North Landing Road between Indian River Road and Salem Road 

Traffic will be maintained with 24/7 flagging operations. Residents will have access to their homes at all times. 

Project Overview 
Sunoco LP owns and operates a 9.2-mile, 6-inch pipeline that begins at its Virginia Beach terminal on the North Landing River. Approximately 6.5 miles of the pipeline runs within local roadways. The upcoming maintenance is part of Sunoco’s federally required pipeline integrity management program to ensure the continued safe operation of the system.
