Nimmo Parkway and Upton Drive to Undergo Paving
Work will occur May 22 through June 12, weather permitting.
Roadway paving may disrupt evening and overnight travel in the Red Mill area of Virginia Beach starting May 22.
All work on this project will be done 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting:
- East- and westbound Nimmo Parkway from General Booth Boulevard to Upton Drive
- North- and southbound Upton Drive from Nimmo Parkway to Princess Anne Road/Sandbridge Road
Milling and paving operations are likely to produce traffic delays, congestion and some construction noise. Advanced warning signs will be clearly posted advising motorists of lane closures. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes when possible. The project is expected to be completed by June 12.
Questions may be directed to Tom Antonio with the Virginia Beach Department of Public Works at 757-385-1550.
