Narcotics Search Warrant and Arrest on Atlantic Avenue

On September 9, 2026, an investigation by the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) resulted in the arrest of a local man, the seizure of multiple firearms, as well as large quantities of illegal narcotics, and currency used to support the illicit operation.

The VBPD Special Investigations Bureau spearheaded the operation, which resulted in several search warrants, including one at OMG Everything located at 1818 Atlantic Avenue.  A coordinated execution of search warrants by the Special Investigations Bureau, SWAT, and Crime Suppression Squads resulted in the seizure of the following:

• Eight firearms
• 154 pounds of marijuana
• Over 52 pounds psilocybin edibles
• Three pounds of THC edibles
• More than 11,000 mL of THC oil

Following the operation, James H. May (M/67) of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a firearm while manufacturing marijuana
• Possession with intent to distribute marijuana (three felony counts)
• Possession with intent to distribute marijuana (one misdemeanor count)
