Crossing the Bridge Foundation Hosts Third Annual Bridge the Gap Fest
A free, fun community event aimed at strengthening relationships between residents and public safety officials
The Crossing the Bridge Foundation is excited to announce a community event aimed at bridging the gap between the community and local public safety officials. This annual event focuses on building and restoring relationships, fostering unity, and promoting the betterment of our neighborhoods.
Event Details:
DATE: Saturday, September 14, 2024
TIME: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Mount Trashmore Park, Virginia Beach
Join us for an afternoon filled with live entertainment, food trucks, bounce houses, yard games, giveaways, children's activities, and free community resources. This event is designed to bring together residents and public safety officials, including the police, fire department, sheriff’s office, and human services, in a positive and engaging environment where they can connect on a personal level and work together towards a united community.
“Our goal is to create an opportunity for open dialogue and mutual understanding between the community and our local public safety teams,” said Pastor Bobby White. “By coming together in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, we can break down barriers and build a foundation of trust and cooperation with all those who serve and protect our community.”
This event is free and open to the public. We encourage everyone to come out, meet your neighbors, and engage with the officers, firefighters, deputies, and human services professionals who dedicate themselves to our community’s well-being. Let’s unite for a day of fun, connection, and community spirit!
