Commonwealth v. Jeremy Grant Wilson; Jury Recommends Max Punishment of 3 Life Terms plus 20 Years for Sexual Assault of Child
Virginia Beach, Va. – Colin D. Stolle, Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Virginia Beach, announced that Jeremy Grant Wilson, age 46, formerly of Yakima, Washington, was found guilty of charges of Forcible Sodomy – Victim Under Age 13 (2 counts), Object Sexual Penetration – Victim Under Age 13, and Aggravated Sexual Battery – Victim Under Age 13. He was found guilty of these charges after a jury trial on April 24, 2026. The jury recommended the maximum punishment of three (3) terms of life in prison plus twenty (20) years and a fine of $100,000. Circuit Court Judge Salvatore R. Iaquinto will formally sentence Wilson on July 28, 2026.
The Commonwealth’s evidence proved that between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2016, Jeremy Grant Wilson sexually abused a young child known to him on multiple occasions while living in the City of Virginia Beach. In 2023, the victim and Wilson lived in Spokane, Washington. The victim reported the abuse to a trusted adult who contacted the Spokane Police Department. Spokane notified the Virginia Beach Police Department who investigated the abuse.
Investigators were provided messages exchanged between Wilson and a former friend. Wilson described sexual encounters with the victim when the victim was as young as nine years old.
