Cancellation of May 26 City Council Meeting
The next meeting will be held on June 2.
Mayor Robert M. “Bobby” Dyer announced today that the Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Virginia Beach City Council meeting has been canceled in observance of Memorial Day.
Mayor Dyer said the decision was made following discussions with the city manager.
“As we approach Memorial Day, I encourage each of us to take a moment to solemnly reflect on the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation,” Dyer said. “Their courage and dedication continue to safeguard the freedoms we uphold.”
Pending Planning items originally expected to be discussed during the meeting will be included in upcoming City Council packages for review.
