Join our Natural Resources team for an exclusive tour of some of our premier parks and natural areas. 

Explore the outstanding outdoor amenities our parks offer while gaining valuable insight into the rewards and challenges of managing our park system.

Tour Schedule:

• 3:00 – 3:10pm: Parks & Recreation Administration (2154 Landstown Road)
  • Travel to Bow Creek Stormwater Park (15 min)
• 3:25 – 4:05pm: Bow Creek Stormwater Park (40 min)
  • Travel to West Neck Creek Natural Area (20 min)
• 4:25 – 4:55pm: West Neck Creek Natural Area (30 min)
  • Return to Parks & Recreation Administration
• 5:00pm: Parks & Recreation Administration. Tour concludes.

Wear closed-toed shoes and bring a re-fillable water bottle as we’ll be walking on a few trails to gain the best views! 

Water, snacks, and bug spray will be provided.

Commission Info:

The Parks and Recreation Commission is a volunteer advisory group to the City Council, City Manager, and Director of Parks and Recreation. The Commission serves as a sounding board by holding public meetings and exercising influence throughout the City to improve and expand recreational opportunities.

The Commission meets at 3 p.m., the first Thursday of each month in the P&R Admin Building Room 101. The meetings are open to the public.
