The Housing Summit will offer the opportunity for residents who have a personal and professional interest in housing to learn from experts in the field during break-out sessions and panel discussions. Featured speakers and panelists are local developers Steve Lawson, chairman of the board of The Lawson Companies; Jessica Guglielmo, president and chief executive officer of the Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation, and Freddie Fletcher, senior development manager from The Franklin Johnston Group; Cavelle Mollineaux, Onyx Realty owner/broker; and Andrew Friedman, principal/owner of Progressive Housing Solutions LLC and former director of the Department of Housing and Neighborhood Preservation.

Topics to be covered include tools for affordable housing development, affordable housing facts vs. myths, ways local governments create affordable housing and perspectives from housing developers.
