The Formal Session is open to the public.

The Special Formal Session will start at 6:00 p.m. and is being held to take public comment on Collective Bargaining. Anyone wishing to speak must register with the City Clerk's Office.

Anyone wishing to speak virtually, via WebEx, must follow the two-step process provided below:

1. Register for WebEx meeting
2. Register with the City Clerk's Office by calling 757-385-4303 prior to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024

First and third Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m.

Meetings will be held on the second and third Tuesdays in July.​

Meetings will be held on the first and second Tuesdays in December.​

Agenda meetings are open to the public.

Informal sessions are held before the formal sessions. Starting times are determined by the agenda.

Council meetings are cablecast live on VBTV Cox Cable channel 48, Verizon Cable channel 45, and VirginiaBeach.gov's media center. The meeting is rebroadcast on Cox channel 48 and Verizon channel 45 the following Thursday at 7:00 p.m.; Friday at 9:00 a.m.; and Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
